Our first day we got on a train and went to Lake Como. It was beautiful even if we were spacy from jet lag. We took a ride up to the top of the mountain and walked around and then came back down and took a paddle boat out on the lake. It was sunny and warm. We had our first gelato and then took the train back. It was a lovely first day with just the right amount of exercise and relaxation. We were joined by our friends Mary and John. John works with Jonathan and they came together to teach in Milan. Mary and John know a lot more Italian than we do so it was a nice buffer on our first day!
